AIM OF THE SEMINAR
Lantei host their duty holder seminars to educate delegates about the latest legislation and news within the electrical industry. The seminars aim to give duty holders a better understanding of how they can keep their workplaces safe and compliant by supporting them with their responsibilities.
Lantei host their seminars in a range of cities across the UK including Edinburgh, Manchester, Birmingham, and London. The seminars are conveniently located with on-site or nearby car parking and the venues are accessible to those who plan to travel to the seminars via public transport.

On arrival, delegates will be greeted by the Lantei team and asked to make their way over to registration to receive a pass for the seminar. Once this is done, delegates will have an option to join the other delegates for a continental breakfast and will have the opportunity to network with industry experts and other delegates.
After networking, delegates will be asked to take their seats in the meeting room. Anthony Smith, Chief Executive Officer of Lantei Compliance Services will greet and brief the delegates. He will introduce himself and Lantei, the guest speaker and the schedule for the day before introducing all the topics that will be covered in the seminar.
This part of the presentation focuses on the legal requirements with regards to maintenance of electrical installations and equipment. Covering areas such as the Electricity at Work Regulations, Health and Safety at Work act and other associated codes of practice, the aim of this section is to help Duty Holders work towards some element of clarity and simplicity within the work place.
With so many opinions, and companies offering different approaches, choosing suppliers and how their solutions can help may at time seem like a daunting task. Within this part of the morning, Lantei look at the basic principles of condition reporting through a sensible and measured approach. This should help to de-mystify some of the confusion surrounding this practice, from frequencies of testing, observation coding’s and their severity. We will cover the difference between a three phase and single phase circuit and how these relate to your pricing. We will also help you to understand reports and what to watch out for in the industry when picking a supplier. This section offers great advice to the duty holder and in many cases saves thousands of pounds by preparing them for the task of supplier selection.
You have had your testing done; how long do you have to rectify the observations? Do you need to use the same company? Does the work need to be re tested? Where do I start in closing the compliance gap?
To finish, Lantei look at your responsibility as an end user/Duty Holder to ensure that you maintain safe electrical systems at all times. But, with so much scaremongering in the industry, where do you turn? And what do you do? This final section will help provide some insight and answers to some of the more frequently asked questions regarding “what next”. This closing section of the seminar aims to provide you with the tools to make an informed decision regarding your future programmes and avoid some unnecessarily costly pit falls.
